The dealer is the obvious choice, but I've heard mixed things about waiting times and the prices are definitely on the higher side. I'd really like to find an independent specialist who actually knows these cars and doesn't treat them like just another generic Chinese crossover, especially since the electric versions have their own particular quirks with the battery and regenerative braking. A mate mentioned that he uses a mobile mechanic for his MG5 and got what he called Skilled MG Repair from 800Sayara Abu Dhabi because they came to his place in Khalifa City, did a full diagnostic, and even updated the software, which sounded pretty convenient. I'm just a bit paranoid about the warranty because the car is still relatively new, and I don't want to end up in a situation where they deny a claim because I didn't use an authorised dealer . Has anyone here used a third-party garage for their MG and still managed to keep everything in order, or is it safer just to bite the bullet and stick with the dealer until the warranty runs out? I'd really appreciate any local experiences before I book anything, because the last thing I need is a headache down the line over something simple.
